Hi friends…im in beautiful Bogota .Colombia.. And it really is beutiful… What i can see of it tonight. I had a long foodless and tv less but productive flight down here and was met at the airport by my excellent host Rafael.. What a great guy.. He works in the CIO's office down here and builds solar houses on the side.. Very cool..
He gave me a quick drive around the city and we stopped in a grocery store where i found some yummy falafel
The store could have been anywhere in the world..
Even cooler..(sort of) rafael was kidnapped by guerrilla soldiers and held for 3 days about 11 years ago. His dad was held for 3 months.. He figures about 50 percent of his classmates had soemthing similar happen in their families… Thats all long gone.. But amazing to think about..
He said it wasn't too bad except for the mosquitos and having to eat monkey meat
Im looking forward to meeting folks mañana
Right now i need to get some sleep
