This morning\u00a0 Kyle got us all together on a call to tell us the very sad news that our friends Lochie and his fiancee Cass died in a small plane accident in california on Sunday. There were to other people killed in that crash.\u00a0 We are all in shock…<\/p>\n

Lochie was one of our most loved BETA folks. He was an Alia test pilot and could fly anything with wings or rotors. He was also on the flight sciences team and was a brilliant aeronautics engineer. He’d left BETA early in the year to go to another comapany, but had just returned to BETA.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Lochie’s\u00a0 fiancee Cass was well known in the burlington arts and business scene. The two of them were friends with many people here….\u00a0 \u00a0 They will both be so missed.\u00a0 \u00a0Theres a memorial planned forSunday\u00a0 Jan 28th that will be half at Hulu where Cass worked and half at BETA..\u00a0<\/p>\n

One\u00a0 memory I have of Lochie is around the flight Alia made to Bentonville\u00a0 AR in 2022.\u00a0 Lochie flew the last leg of the the flight and had a Samstone with him. It meant so much to us.. I wrote about it here<\/a><\/p>\n
