I&#8217;d call it Leaster. Diane , the dogs and I went for a beutiful hike this morning.. It was a bluebird day.. warmish (40&#8217;s) and sunny.. We went up in Littler River State Park..<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/IMG_8616.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The resovoir was still covered in ice<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/IMG_8617.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>so were parts of the road<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/IMG_8621.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>but things were metling fast. Stephenson brook.. (or is it Joyner brook) was flowing fast<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/IMG_8623.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/IMG_8625.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We found a cool little nature trail that we&#8217;d never seen before<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/IMG_8628.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>lot sof cool relics of the old community here.. Here&#8217; are Dan and Sarah&#8217;s house<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/IMG_8630.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>and Chai playing in the flooded cellar hole of their house.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/IMG_8633.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>and we read about amos chase. he lost an arm in the civil war.. but managed to devise a sling that allowed him to work a scythe with his remaining arm..<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/IMG_8627.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>the woods had several cellar holes and old fences that marked whre the community had stood..\u00a0 this fence was a perfect place for a smastone.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/IMG_8634.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>we walke out to the further campsites and hung ou in the empty playground for a boit.. The camp won&#8217;t open for more than a month. it was nice having it almost to ourselves.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/IMG_8638.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>we<\/p>\n<p>stopped on the way back to check out the spill way oeping in the dam.. it was flowing pretty wildly !<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/IMG_8639.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/IMG_8643.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The rest of the day was peaceful as well.. hoe is t was good for you all too..<\/p>\n<p>now to sleep<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>nite all. nite sam<\/p>\n<p>-me<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We had a very nice minimalist Easter day..
