This morning diane and I said goodbye to the snow before Jen came by and took\u00a0 usto the airport. We’re heading out to the west coast for a week and a half of seeign freinds, teachning classes and seeing family.\u00a0

\"\"<\/figure><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Our flight out to SFO went through dulles. We had enough time to go to one of our favorite airport lounges.. the Turkish Air Lounge in the D concourse . (one of the cool thing about the travel status we have is we can use many other airlines lounges).\u00a0 \u00a0We had a middle eastern feast before geting on the long flight to California

THe flight out was long ~ 6 hours)\u00a0 and productive.. I worked the entire way.. mostly programming.\u00a0 \u00a0 Didnt look outside until we were about to land

got to SFO and headed out to the car rental building. Caught site of a place i’d once filmed a movie\u00a0 for an IBM project I was doing

That also reminded me that I’d once taken off from here in a Lufthansa 777 for a conference that took place on a plane. !.. We took over the top section of the giant plane and helpd a conference complete with presentations, question from the audience and special snacks. THe folks on the rest of the plane were invited to join in .. I found a few write-ups about\u00a0 it online here<\/a>

We got our car.. and headed down to palo alto and got settled in to the airbnb.. As soon as we were settled we went over to see\u00a0 rafe and laurence ..\u00a0 It was so good seeing them. Rafe is recovering from some intense surgery ..

He’s looking so good !

We hung out for a couple of hours.. then headed back to the airbnb .. Super\u00a0 glad to be here .
