Diane and I decided to address cabin fever head on by heading in to the woods. We started on bolton notch road.. undecided whether we would ‘just’ do the preston pond loop.. or make the 5 mile up and down back to our house. we were enjoying the fresh tracks of being the only folks out on the trail in the new snow.. When we came to the intersection of preston pond trail and saw the heavily walked trail, we opted for the more remote .. and much longer and steeper walk home. Made me think of Robert frost..<\/p>\n

The Road Not Taken<\/h1>\n<\/div>\n

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,<\/div>\n
And sorry I could not travel both<\/div>\n
And be one traveler, long I stood<\/div>\n
And looked down one as far as I could<\/div>\n
To where it bent in the undergrowth;<\/div>\n
Then took the other, as just as fair,<\/div>\n
And having perhaps the better claim,<\/div>\n
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;<\/div>\n
Though as for that the passing there<\/div>\n
Had worn them really about the same,<\/div>\n
And both that morning equally lay<\/div>\n
In leaves no step had trodden black.<\/div>\n
Oh, I kept the first for another day!<\/div>\n
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,<\/div>\n
I doubted if I should ever come back.<\/div>\n
I shall be telling this with a sigh<\/div>\n
Somewhere ages and ages hence:<\/div>\n
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I\u2014<\/div>\n
I took the one less traveled by,<\/div>\n
And that has made all the difference.<\/div>\n

it was tough going up there.. many trees down which made following the blazes \u00a0hard.. and made the walking kind of treacherous.. didn’t impede me from making a beautiful naked snow angel !. (don’t worry. tasteful pictures)<\/p>\n

The scenery was beautiful.. and the weather was great.. temps rising until rain in the afternoon.. y the time we got back it was near freezing.. which is pretty darn warm for this time of year.. . we’d long since shed our coats<\/p>\n

now its raining.. (yuck)..wishing for a changeover to snow..<\/p>\n
