Max and I got on the road this morning around 9 ..We were trying to beat the snowstorm that was supposed to hit NYC.\u00a0\u00a0 In the end, we didn’t see a single snowflake..\u00a0\u00a0 It was an easy drive. . Max slept.. I drove ..\u00a0
\u00a0\u00a0 We got to Diane’s folks around 1:30 .\u00a0 .. a perfect time for a long nap..\u00a0 a great component of a quiet day. We spent the rest of the afternoon hanging out with Marcia, Gabe, our sister in law Pat and our nephew Victor\u00a0 who turns 18 tomorrow.
\u00a0\u00a0 Around\u00a0 6 Max, Gabe, Diane and I went over to our good friend David, Linda and Andre’s\u00a0 .\u00a0 Linda had made\u00a0 a feast.. minestrone, corn chowder, and aloo-gobi-esque cauliflower.\u00a0\u00a0 Through the course of the night I did my normal survey of my friends fridge..\u00a0 I particulalry like Linda and Dave’s fridge.. It ranges from the bizarre to <\/div>\n

To the bizzare and touching.. OK .. I put the funny mangets on theis picture..\u00a0\u00a0 I always look at it when we come here.. It was one of the last pictures of the five of us. We were in the Cayman islands.. I don’t know what compelled me to decorate it like this.. but I enjoyed doing it.. <\/p>\n

Is this OK to do ?\u00a0\u00a0 If I’m not careful.. Everything can become so …..\u00a0 serious..\u00a0 <\/div>\n

While gabe stacked all the candy .. Um…. gabe ? <\/div>\n

We swapped presents.. and we’d gotten each other hats !!!\u00a0 Here’s Andrala (as our kids call her)\u00a0 in hers<\/div>\n

and max and gabe in theirs.. <\/div>\n

I got a book on one of my favorite snacks !!!!<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Lind’a dog Liza kept a watchful eye on us.. <\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

we went home to Marcia and Gabe’s around 10..\u00a0\u00a0 pleasantly stuffed with Linda food.. <\/p>\n

And then……<\/p>\n

Gabe said..
“let’s go out for Sushi !”
I said “why not ? “<\/p>\n

So Gabe and I headed out to Vestal to get some.. luckily they were open until 10:30 !
It was so much fun being out with Gabe.. We had a great snack.. and used it to review the four rules<\/p>\n

1. Do what you want (hence sushi at 10:30 after a big, good dinner)
2. Like what you do
3. Remember the shortest path is not always the best
4. Marry a girl you can be gross in front of (ok.. we word it differntly… but that’s the jist) <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Believe it or not, Bestbuy was still open.. We ran in to see if we could find soem memory for Gabe’s computer..\u00a0\u00a0 No luck there.. But I ran into some fnas of the colony !.. Here’s Kelly and Brandon..\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 And Geek squad lady !..\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It’s both wierd and fun when soemone recognizes\u00a0 us. <\/div>\n

Speaking of fans.. The Colony just won an informal award on eSprocket<\/a>. They called us the ‘Best sow that noone watched”\u00a0 Actually.. \u00a0the numbers were excellent for a first run series.. but we’ll take the award, thanks !<\/p>\n

OK.. batteries are going.. better quit here.. More tomorrow <\/p>\n
