Gabe had a snowboard meet in New Hampshire again.. so we all piled in the car at 5:30 this AM. I&#8217;m still sick.. but I figured I could be sick out there on the mountain.. or hanging out at home.. at least there I&#8217;d be outside. <\/p>\n<p><\/div>\n<div align=\"left\">Today&#8217;s event was the Peanut Butter and Rail Jam.. there were about 100 kids.. three t simple rails. Pretty standard competition.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i147.photobucket.com\/albums\/r319\/johncohn\/jan1610\/pbj.jpg\" \/><\/div>\n<div align=\"center\"><\/p>\n<div align=\"left\">Gabe had a good day.. he made it into the final! I love watching him compete. You can tell he&#8217;s having fun.. <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i147.photobucket.com\/albums\/r319\/johncohn\/jan1610\/DSC_1137.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i147.photobucket.com\/albums\/r319\/johncohn\/jan1610\/DSC_1168.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i147.photobucket.com\/albums\/r319\/johncohn\/jan1610\/DSC_1171.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div align=\"left\">He had some great runs. very smooth&#8230;.<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i147.photobucket.com\/albums\/r319\/johncohn\/jan1610\/DSC_1176.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i147.photobucket.com\/albums\/r319\/johncohn\/jan1610\/DSC_1180.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div align=\"left\">The competition was over about 2:30..\u00a0\u00a0 so we pile in the car and drove the 2.5 hours home.. through beautful contryside..\u00a0\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>After dinner, Gab and I finished his split board.. he may use it tomorrow.. though I think he may have the bug that I&#8217;m just shaking.. <\/p>\n<p>(Yikes !.. just heard a ton of snow and ice\u00a0 come off the roof.. hope it didn&#8217;t hit anything. one time it came down and smashed both of our cars so that neither were drivable&#8230; )<\/p>\n<p>After dinner we were all sitting around tlaking about the terrible earthquake in Haiti. Marie and Garret went to the store today and bought a bunch of medical supplies using some Friends of Sam funds.. they dropped them of at Amy&#8217;s for the Vermont Haiti Project. The Haiti project has been going long before last weeks earthquake.. but they&#8217;re now focusing all their efforts on relief for the folks in Port Au Prince. One of Amy&#8217;s friends, a nurse, is heading down to Haiti to aid in the rescue effort.
