You might recall that I&#8217;d managed to forget my suitcase at the airport\u00a0 last night.. and .. of course.. my runnign shoes were in that bag.\u00a0 What to do ?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I went to look for old pairs of shoes.. and look what I found.. a pair of nearly brand new ASICS\u00a0 that had been my dads. Dad was a runner for nearly 40 years &#8230; these were good..<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>My dad left big shoes to fill<\/p>\n<p>I slipped them on.. a little tight, but comfy.. I ran in them.. and that felt good..<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_9510.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>they were so comfy that I wore them all day.. and it was a very busy day.. it started with me finding this spider in my backpack.. must have hitched a ride in my latest trip<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_9388.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>i was wearing those shoes when we went up to hep our good friends Time\u00a0 and Jen move\u00a0 out of their house<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_9467.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_9478.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_9480.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_9472.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I helped jen unpack\u00a0 about 400 recently fired samstones<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_9450.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_9453.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>once all the furniture was moved.. we went back home .. then started taking down our storm windows<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_9489.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_9486.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_9487.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Since I had to put the windows away, i had to move the stuff for the trampoline.. so I set that up<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_9492.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_9490.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_9491.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/>by the end of the day we&#8217;d done a huge list of chores around the house,<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>helped our friends move<\/li>\n<li>Moves soem of their furniture into our house<\/li>\n<li>moved the snowboard\u00a0 rail<\/li>\n<li>taken apart the old raft<\/li>\n<li>taken down and stored the downstairs storms<\/li>\n<li>taken down and stored the upstairs storms<\/li>\n<li>fixed the speaker<\/li>\n<li>checked and services\u00a0 the central vac and water softener<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>By t<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_9496.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>he end of that, we were ready for soem relaxation. Our freinds Kevin and Betsy were up visiting thier daughter Meagan and BF Sam .. s\\We met them for dinner at Mexicalis&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_9497.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_9505.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_9509.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>All\u00a0 done wearing\u00a0 my dads\u00a0 shoes<\/p>\n<p>They say you dont knwo a man until you&#8217;ve walkeda mile in his shoes..<\/p>\n<p>I know my dad.. and I know his shoes..<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Miss you Pa<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>nite all, nite sam<\/p>\n<p>-me<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I woke up this morning eager to go for a run..\u00a0 there was a hitch, though.. i had no runnign shoes.
