greetings from Zadar., Croatia. day 2.. Diane and I had the whole day just to hang out. We rented bikes and rode about 12 miles in to the center of old Zadar .. It was a great ride.. \u00a0 We even saw a Dalmatian.. .. which is a breed of dog named for this part of the world<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

After fighting traffic .. boats cars, motorcycles and pedestrians, we found a place to lock our bikes outside the old city walls<\/p>\n

\"\"\"\"\"\"<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

the old city was packed wth people. .. no wonder.. it’s popular !<\/p>\n

\"\"\"\"<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

There was race today claled ‘Wings for life’… which was happening all over the world ..\u00a0We came up to it just at the start of the race.. lots of people, lots of noise\u00a0\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

redbull was a sponsor.. so there was redbull everywhere !]\"\"\"\"<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

the city is really georgeous\"\"<\/p>\n

one of it’s most famous sights.. or.. uh.. sunds.. is \u00a0a gigantic sea organ that moans harmoniously as the waves slap it.. \u00a0 here are folks sitting on it..<\/p>\n

there was another solar scuplutre nearby.. could’t quite figure that out\"\"\"\"\"\"<\/p>\n

we spent a few hours more checking out the town<\/p>\n

we bought a bottle of slivovitz, the local plum brandy.. it fit right in the bikes water bottle carrier !\"\"<\/p>\n

then back to the hotel for sunset<\/p>\n
