Tonight was the second annual Jam for Sam<\/p>\n

fundraiser at Talent Skate Park. The Jam had been organized by Sam T<\/p>\n

and the Friends of Sam kids.\u00a0\u00a0 The money raised in this Jam is being<\/p>\n

used to fund the drilling of water wells and other basic quality of<\/p>\n

life improvements in the Cambodian Village of Krang Biang\u00a0 The Friends<\/p>\n

of Sam folks learned of the needs in Krang Biang through an article<\/p>\n

about our cambodian freind Khem in Williston. <\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

There<\/p>\n

were a ton of kids there tonight.. Our thanks go out ot all the kids in<\/p>\n

Freinds of Sam, their parent helpers and the fine folks at Talent. ..<\/p>\n

The FoS kids coordinated food and drink. they had a ton of pizza and<\/p>\n

baked stuff. <\/div>\n

I…. includign jam for sam cookies and cupcakes !<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

and lovely host David… standing here with Khem, who’s helping us get<\/p>\n

the money to the village in Cambodia where she was born. <\/div>\n

There<\/p>\n

was a bunch of info on Khem and her cambodian village. it’s a great<\/p>\n

story hearing how Khem reunited with her family after so many years !<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

We also had info about our Sam… <\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

… including organ donor info .. one of our favorite causes .. !<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

Sam<\/p>\n

was very much present tonight.. Many.mnay of the kids had on Sam T<\/p>\n

shoirts… if they didnt have them, Talent still sells them.. .!<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

T had really been the organizer behhind this and the last years Jam..<\/p>\n

his band provided most of the music.. They had some great stuff. Allman<\/p>\n

borthers, The Fead.. and newwer stuff. some realllly great Jams !<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

The place was full of skaters.. and folks watching the skaters.. It was really jumping !<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

Between band setsm Sumner did the DJ-ing.. he’s really very good !<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

I liked seeing so many really young kids there.. Avery was helping wth Senyah.. <\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

Phil<\/p>\n

L came in with some custom painted grip tape he’d made. He hand cut<\/p>\n

this stencil of sam It looked awesome. We auctioned it off and made<\/p>\n

soemthing like 35 dollars !<\/div>\n

I<\/p>\n

was showing folks the book that Max and I had bought Gabe at maker’s<\/p>\n

faure last week. Dave W and I agtreeed that we have to build it.. Gabe<\/p>\n

and I are going to start getting it ready !\u00a0 Speaking of Max.. he<\/p>\n

showed up in town this afternoon. He showed up for the Jam too.. but<\/p>\n

somehow I missed getting his picture I was glad to have my ahole familt<\/p>\n

there ! <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It<\/p>\n

was a great success tonight.. by 9 folks were starting to clear out. We<\/p>\n

still had some\u00a0 pizza and backed goods. We packed the leftovers in the<\/p>\n

car.. and diane drove them over to Spectum Services for the homeless..<\/p>\n

Meanwhile I took Kristin and Gabe home..\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Gab’es gotta get a good<\/p>\n

nights sleep. his LAX playoffs are tomorrow !<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

It was a great event.. Sam’s spirit was there everywwhere… !<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

OK<\/p>\n

folks.. I’m falling asleep.. and we have ealry morning Lacrossse<\/p>\n

playoffs. So I’m going to bed. Gnite everyone. Gnite Sam.. we’re still<\/p>\n

jammin’ for you !
