Last night in the Tetons for now. We had a really nice day here. Today we’re celebrating what would’ve been my dad’s 86th birthday. We took a great hike to Leigh \u00a0plate and had a picnic\u2026 I’ve got a ton of pictures from that but I’ve been realizing that I don’t have enough bandwidth to post them from here. I promise to go back and fix the last couple of days posts<\/p>\n

It’s about 11 PM and we’re about to sit down for a celebratory dinner to remember my dad. We’re making his signature “bachelor spaghetti”\u2026<\/p>\n

In honor of my dad both Gabe and I did his favorite trick which was the human flagpole when we were hanging out in Jackson tonight<\/p>\n

I do have to tell one important story from today\u2026 After we got back from our hike we were all hanging out of the house when my sister yelled “moose”! \u00a0 Sure enough it was a fairly good size female moose out munching \u00a0leaves right outside our driveway.<\/p>\n

We watched it for about a half an hour and got\u2026 What I now know\u2026 Was too close<\/p>\n

After watching a while\u2026 The moose decided to walk down into the driveway.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

My mom was there talking to a neighbor \u00a0 with her back turned to it. As the moose \u00a0started walking towards us we all ran and yelled to my mom to get out of the way\u2026 But she was so engrossed in telling her story she didn’t see it. All of a sudden the moose started to run at my mom\u2026 I couldn’t believe it\u2026 Here was this huge animal running at a full gallop towards my mom\u2026 We screamed but my mom was so into telling her story she didn’t even look around.<\/p>\n

Miraculously the moose stop about 10 feet short and just wandered off into the woods\u2026 We’re sitting there with our mouths open and \u00a0my mom looked at us and said “what?”<\/p>\n

It was the craziest thing I’ve ever seen\u2026 All’s well that ends well\u2026 But we all learned a lesson<\/p>\n

Seriously\u2026 It was a end of a very good Long weekend with my family. It’s been nice getting together<\/p>\n
