{"id":36589,"date":"2016-08-20T20:58:21","date_gmt":"2016-08-21T00:58:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/?p=36589"},"modified":"2016-08-20T20:58:21","modified_gmt":"2016-08-21T00:58:21","slug":"saturday-night-cicadas-vs-crickets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/2016\/08\/20\/saturday-night-cicadas-vs-crickets\/","title":{"rendered":"saturday night &#8211; cicadas vs crickets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>theres always a point where the cickadas of deep summre give way to the crickets of late summer.. today we were floatign in the pool and i could here both.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>the cickadas reminding us of the 8- degree heat.. the crcikets responding to the cool dry breeze..<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I love the return of the crickets because it means cool days coming.. it never needs to be more than 60 degrees for me..<\/p>\n<p>but still i will miss the long slower days of summer.. it&#8217;s like this every year.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>we had one of those long slow days today.. we went for a hike with deb and the dogs up bolton<\/p>\n<p>we foudn a very sweet swimming hole we&#8217;d walked by for years without noticing<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/IMG_6732-2.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>we foudn a great split bolder and put a samstone in it<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/IMG_6738-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/IMG_6737-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>and put one in an orienteerign marker we found deep in the woods<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/IMG_6740-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>we came across Brit&#8217;s freind Phil&#8217;s yurt in the woods. Phil wasnt there.. but his beer was thre.. cooling in the stream. I took one and left him 3 bucks and a samstone \u00a0 hope he doesnt mind !<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/IMG_6743-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/IMG_6742-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/IMG_6745-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/IMG_6747-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>we finally made it up to the bolton nordic trails which allowed us to figure out where we were<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/IMG_6750-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>turns ot we were rigjht at the boloton cabin&#8230;\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/IMG_6753-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>cabins gettign a little sketchy !<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/IMG_6756-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/IMG_6758-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/>\\\\from there we climbed back up towards the ridge and took the Jake loop back tot he sugar house. I always liek the Jake trail because my parents call(ed) me Jake.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/IMG_6759-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>camehome and talked to our freind scott abotu the walkway hes building for us.
