The trip home was uneventful.. i used it .. and the rest of the \u00a0last\u00a011 hours (!) getting my email backlog down\u00a0\u00a0to less than a page.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>note much else to report on today.. oh.. one interesting thing.. there was a nice brunch this Am for the wedding guests that were still around. It was in the Lawrence Welk room. evenidenyly , the william penn hotel was where he originated\u00a0\u00a0some\u00a0 of his shows. \u00a0 Tos of you my age or older will remember Lawrence Welk&#8217;s shmalzy &#8216;champaing music.. .. he&#8217;sd start each oen with &#8216;and -a-one-an-atwo;.. it was a mystery to me as a kid why folks would watch him play on tv.. while folsk danced.. but.. i did think the bubbles were cool&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/IMG_7120.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/IMG_7119.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/IMG_7123.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>actually the station KDKA in pittsburgh was the first commerical radio station in the world..<\/p>\n<p>and their firtst live broadcast was from this same hotel !<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/IMG_7128.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/IMG_7124.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>and get this.. here&#8217;s the machine that made the bubbles. it was build by one of the handymen\u00a0\u00a0in the hotel..\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/IMG_7126.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>seeing that made the trip even more worthwhile !<\/p>\n<p>nite all, nite sam<\/p>\n<p>-me<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>we&#8217;re back from pittsburgh from a great trip to Matt and carolyns wedding. .It was great seeing old freinds,larry and leah and \u00a0our old town\u00a0\u00a0&#8230; we had a nice time just hanging out. ..
