As many of you know, I’m heading out to Burning Man at the end of the week to be with my sons Max and Gabe.. Max is part of a big project there called Helios.. he’s in charge of burnign it down on Friday night… He asked Gabe and me to come\u00a0\u00a0out to\u00a0be part of it… \u00a0 I can’t wait !<\/p>\n
Burnign man is many things.. its wild, overwelming, beutiful crass and dirty.. but its also very spiritual. One of the major features out there is the Temple. It’s dedicated to folks who have died.. and it’s burned on Sunday.. We’ll be taking about 300 SamStones out there to give to folks.. and we’ll put some in the temple..<\/p>\n
Sam would have loved Burning Man. .. and we would have loved to have him out there. .. so\u00a0I’m also takign some\u00a0\u00a0of Sam’s ashes to burn<\/p>\n
That meant\u00a0,<\/p>\n
taking the box down off the book shelf<\/p>\n
opening the blue velvet bag,<\/p>\n
takign out the cardboard box, ,<\/p>\n
opening the plastic carton,<\/p>\n
taking out the plastic bag,<\/p>\n
undoing the twistie..<\/p>\n
and dipping a screw top test tube into my sons ashes<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
It was amazingly easy to do.. and so hard. \u00a0 I cried for a bit.. then laughed at how wierd this was…then<\/p>\n
I closed the bag,<\/p>\n
twisted the twistie<\/p>\n
put the bag back in the \u00a0plasic carton<\/p>\n
putting it back in the cardbord box<\/p>\n
put that in the velvet bag<\/p>\n
and put the whole thing on the shelf<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
And went\u00a0out of the room to begin packing<\/p>\n
Life is so, so strange<\/p>\n
