I woke up this morning and realized that I had only dreamed that I had blogged\u00a0last night. My apologies.<\/p>\n
What \u00a0meant to blog\u00a0About was that today was \u00a0“Juneteenth” June 19 was always a holiday when I grew up. And celebrates the day in 1965 when black \u00a0slaves in Texas were freed by the Emancipation Proclamation . That\u00a0\u00a0started the emancipation all across\u00a0\u00a0 the confederate south. It was always a big day with parades and stuff. We always had picnics where we ate watermelon which I was that was a little bit strange.<\/p>\n

We also sang songs like “we will overcome” and “swing low Sweet chariot” \u00a0 Which doesn’t run as well as it should\u2026 Should be “swing low Sweet cheerio and ”<\/p>\n
I was remember thinking about juneteenth\u00a0\u00a0as like Passover for black people. I’m not sure Juneteenth \u00a0 IS\u00a0\u00a0still as big a deal in the south\u2026 But I hope it is<\/p>\n
