My apologies.<\/p>\n<p>What \u00a0meant to blog\u00a0About was that today was \u00a0&#8220;Juneteenth&#8221; June 19 was always a holiday when I grew up. And celebrates the day in 1965 when black \u00a0slaves in Texas were freed by the Emancipation Proclamation . That\u00a0\u00a0started the emancipation all across\u00a0\u00a0 the confederate south. It was always a big day with parades and stuff. We always had picnics where we ate watermelon which I was that was a little bit strange.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We also sang songs like &#8220;we will overcome&#8221; and &#8220;swing low Sweet chariot&#8221; \u00a0 Which doesn&#8217;t run as well as it should\u2026 Should be &#8220;swing low Sweet cheerio and &#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I was remember thinking about juneteenth\u00a0\u00a0as like Passover for black people.
