Very peaceful day around the house.. And I really needed that. Got my first run in this week which felt good.. Then puttered around the house. We experimented with friend tim’s pressure washer and managed not to hurt it, ourselves or the barn in the process. That’s pretty good ! <\/p>\n

Around 7 our friends Ellen and Gerry came over for dinner. They’re from Houston.. Ellen is here to compete in a triathlon which she did this morning. She’s a pretty serious competitor in the woman’s 50-54category and travels round the country running, swimming and riding her titanium bike. Ellen and I have known each other a longggggg time… Since 1976.. We dated in high school and have stayed in touch since. Ellen and Terry were last here at our 10th anniversary party.. In 1996.. I think I last saw them at their wedding .. Which was in 1999 I think. It was fun catching up and figuring out what all our old friends we’re up to. When it came down to it, neither of us is that good at staying in touch with high school friends others than each other.<\/p>\n

I was glad that gabe was able to join us for dinner.. I think it was cool for him to meet a friend of mine that I’ve known since I was his age now<\/p>\n

Terry and Ellen are hanging out in Vermont for a few more days. We are hoping to see them later in the week…..our good friends lids and David will e up too. It’s nice having all this company !<\/p>\n

Ok.. My fake jet lag is catching up with me.. The to hit the hay…
