Last night i told you all about Gabe and my continuing adventures in chemistry. Yesterday we synthesized tri-nitrocellulose from cotton , concentrated nitric acid and concentrated sulfuric acid… We left it out to dry for about 24 hours. The paper we converted didn’t burn too well.. our hypothesis is that it didn’t convert completely and still had some residual\u00a0 moisture. We decided to use my heat gun to dry out soem of the converted cotton.. check this out !<\/p>\n

Not much else to report for the day.. spent most of it doing recreational chemistry.. and getting ready for Frankenstorm.. !<\/p>\n
