Diane, Gabe and I had dinner outside in the crisp (crisp in May !) air.. then puttered around the yard,. admiring Diane&#8217;s mulching job\u00a0 on her new strawberry plants. (please comment on it.. she&#8217;s duley proud of it)\u00a0\u00a0 While we were admiring the mulch, DIane was telling me more about her weekend with the yoganaughts down at the Abbey.\u00a0 She told me about the groups fun focus on the word &#8216;drishti&#8217; (or dirsti..).. a word that I think means glance or sight in sanskrit.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"teaser\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"teaser\">In yoga parlance the practice of Drishti is a gazing technique that develops <\/p>\n<p>concentration\u2014and teaches you to see the world as it really is. <\/p>\n<p>To diane and her yoga friends. dristi also is the awareness of where your concentration is at any moment.. like in a relationship or a conversation..\u00a0\u00a0 the focus is on the awareness of where your focus lies (wait.. did that sentence make sense ? )\u00a0\u00a0 Yogis try to culture an awareness\u00a0 .. not a control&#8230; of the movement of their attention.. it&#8217;s like the complete opposite of my ADD\u00a0 brain.. though even thinking abut thinking in that way is fun&#8230; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Where are you focusing now ?
