Quiet Evening at Home – (QEAH)….sitting on the couch after watching a movie with my girl as the wind blows crazy outside. Spent most of the day working…. Got in a good run and enjoyed the cold and snow. Not much in the way of plans for tomorrow either. Enjoying the down time .<\/p>\n
I know that must be the most boring blog post ever written….<\/p>\n

On second thought… Maybe ill include a poem about nothing happening…

Suddenly, you were planting some yellow petunias
\noutside in the garden,
\nand suddenly I was in the study
\nlooking up the word oligarchy for the thirty-seventh time.<\/p>\n
When suddenly, without warning,
\nyou planted the last petunia in the flat,
\nand I suddenly closed the dictionary
\nnow that I was reminded of that vile form of governance.<\/p>\n
A moment later, we found ourselves
\nstanding suddenly in the kitchen
\nwhere you suddenly opened a can of cat food
\nand I just as suddenly watched you doing that.<\/p>\n
I observed a window of leafy activity
\nand, beyond that, a bird perched on the edge
\nof the stone birdbath
\nwhen suddenly you announced you were leaving<\/p>\n
to pick up a few things at the market
\nand I stunned you by impulsively
\npointing out that we were getting low on butter
\nand another case of wine would not be a bad idea.<\/p>\n
Who could tell what the next moment would hold?
\nAnother drip from the faucet?
\nAnother little spasm of the second hand?
\nWould the painting of a bowl of pears continue<\/p>\n
to hang on the wall from that nail?
\nWould the heavy anthologies remain on their shelves?
\nWould the stove hold its position?
\nSuddenly, it was anyone\u2019s guess.<\/p>\n
The sun rose ever higher.
\nThe state capitals remained motionless on the wall map
\nwhen suddenly I found myself lying on a couch
\nwhere I closed my eyes and without any warning<\/p>\n
began to picture the Andes, of all places,
\nand a path that led over the mountain to another country
\nwith strange customs and eye-catching hats
\nsuddenly fringed with little colorful, dangling balls.<\/p>\n
Nite all, nite sam
