Diane painted the upstairs and set me up with a really sweet office in one of the bedrooms upstairs. She also framed and hung a bunch of pictures. Its great to have new things to look at. One of the pictures she hung downstairs is an image from an old postcard we found while browsing in flea market in pennsylvania many years ago…it was a funny postcard titled ‘ richmond, vt in the future’ published by the owl drug store. Its a goofy prediction of our tiny town at some point in the future served by trolly’s, overhead subway and hot air transport. The owl is long gone.. but one mention i found on the internet said that it existed between 1907 and 1930. We couldn’t believe that we found this thing so far away from home.. And in such a coincidental way..
