{"id":53444,"date":"2018-03-18T00:39:17","date_gmt":"2018-03-18T04:39:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/?p=53444"},"modified":"2018-03-18T00:41:16","modified_gmt":"2018-03-18T04:41:16","slug":"53444","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/2018\/03\/18\/53444\/","title":{"rendered":"Sunday night &#8211; St Patty&#8217;s day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Todays St Patricks day&#8230; it was completely white here in the green mountain state.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We were committed to get out in the snow today.. first we triedd takign the girls up to the sugar shack trail on bolton.. but it hadn&#8217;t been plowed and there was at least 3 feet of snow in the lot.. so we headed back to the notch rode to try libbys lookout.. the girls were not thriled with the weather. it was 10 degrees F and blowing about 20 mph.. it was freeing. they made it about 100 yards in and both started having trouble keeping &nbsp;their paws on the ground. We had to give up and take them home.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/IMG_0315.jpeg\" alt=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/IMG_0316.jpeg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>we dropped them at home then headed down to honey hollow.. the snow was so deep (2.5-3 feet) that it was slow going.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>we followed another snowshoers trail and it lead us to this very cool makeshift shelter.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/IMG_0319.jpeg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I was pretty sleepy after our hike and took a good nap.. by the time I woke up.. it was time to go up to tim and jens for St. Paddy&#8217;s day feast..&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>here&#8217;s the view from their house.. check out the icicles !<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/IMG_0321.jpeg\" alt=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/IMG_0322.jpeg\" alt=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/IMG_0325.jpeg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>jen had made corned beef an cabbage.. .. and just cabbage for us veggies.&nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/IMG_0329.jpeg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/IMG_0332.jpeg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>diane had made green &nbsp;noodles .. with pesto from last years garden&nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/IMG_0331.jpeg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>all kind of greenish ! &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/IMG_0333.jpeg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We listened to irsih music and pretended to sing along..&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We were listening to Flogging Molly, an irish punk folk band.. &nbsp;which reminded me (as it always does on St Patricks) of&nbsp;this great picture of Sam in his Flogging Molly Shirt&#8230;. it was the last shirt he ever wore.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i147.photobucket.com\/albums\/r319\/johncohn\/mar1708\/flog2.jpg?zoom=2&amp;w=1024\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"486\"><\/p>\n<p>And here\u2019s a cool version that Sam R made of the same photo<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i1.wp.com\/i147.photobucket.com\/albums\/r319\/johncohn\/mar1708\/flogging.jpg?zoom=2&amp;w=1024\" alt=\"\" width=\"690\" height=\"510\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>That band pays a wonderful song..called \u2018If I ever leave this world Alive\u2019<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>If I ever leave this world alive<br \/>\nby Flogging Molly<\/p>\n<p>If I ever leave this world alive<br \/>\nI\u2019ll thank for all the things you did in my life<br \/>\nIf I ever leave this world alive<br \/>\nI\u2019ll come back down and sit beside your<br \/>\nfeet tonight<br \/>\nWherever I am you\u2019ll always be<br \/>\nMore than just a memory<br \/>\nIf I ever leave this world alive<\/p>\n<p>If I ever leave this world alive<br \/>\nI\u2019ll take on all the sadness<br \/>\nThat I left behind<br \/>\nIf I ever leave this world alive<br \/>\nThe madness that you feel will soon subside<br \/>\nSo in a word don\u2019t shed a tear<br \/>\nI\u2019ll be here when it all gets weird<br \/>\nIf I ever leave this world alive<\/p>\n<p>So when in doubt just call my name<br \/>\nJust before you go insane<br \/>\nIf I ever leave this world<br \/>\nHey I may never leave this world<br \/>\nBut if I ever leave this world alive<\/p>\n<p>She says I\u2019m okay;
