{"id":5350,"date":"2012-12-12T20:49:35","date_gmt":"2012-12-13T00:49:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/?p=5350"},"modified":"2012-12-12T21:40:39","modified_gmt":"2012-12-13T01:40:39","slug":"wednesday-night-dozen-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/2012\/12\/12\/wednesday-night-dozen-day\/","title":{"rendered":"wednesday night &#8211; dozen day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>12\/12\/12\u00a0 ..I don&#8217;t know why 12 feels comfortable, but it does. .\u00a0 all day I was thinking of things that come in dozens.. like eggs&#8230; and ..bagels and doughnuts.. and .. um..what else &#8230; . bakers ?\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 At dinner Gabe made the sobering pronouncement that\u00a0 this is the last triple date in our life time.. we had 01\/01\/01\u00a0 .. 02\/02\/02, 03\/03\/03, &#8230;. 11\/11\/11 (my fave) .. and now 12\/12\/12\u00a0 .. but.. alas.. the next go round on that is nearly 100 years from now and I plan on being out of town.. There&#8217;s nothing like that little drop of mortality to season your delicious (in our case) dinner of tortellini and miso soup..<\/p>\n<p>As I chewed my 12 noodles and contemplated the cosmos I thought about how numbers rule my life.. I get superstitious.. both good and bad .. on certain numbers. I won&#8217;t drink from a glass\u00a0 unless it&#8217;s been filled 3 times..In fact I do many things in threes especially when under stress..\u00a0 I am afraid of the number 709.. but love the time 911 (my lucky number.. go figure) .. 411 means someones thinking of me.. and 420.. well&#8230;. uh&#8230;.\u00a0 i like that too .<\/p>\n<p>For what its worth.. this conversation reminds me a <a title=\"log clock\" href=\"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/logclock2.exe\">logarithmic clock<\/a> I created a few years back.. (windows only..
