Getting here involved getting up at 4am&#8230; Which on its own would not have been too bad&#8230; But i never really managed to fall asleep last night. Usually i sleep like a rock as soon as my head hits the pillow.. But last night i had a cool work problem in my head.. .. And a mechanical problem for the stamp mobile..  Swilling around in my head in one of those stupid confused movie loops one sometimes gets&#8230;   I remember reading a poem about just that from my favorite poet, billy collins.  .. Its called insomnia&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>Insomnia<br \/>\nBy Billy Collins<\/p>\n<p>Even though the house is deeply silent<br \/>\nand the room, with no moon,<br \/>\nis perfectly dark,<br \/>\neven though the body is a sack of exhaustion<br \/>\ninert on the bed,<\/p>\n<p>someone inside me will not<br \/>\nget off his tricycle,<br \/>\nwill not stop tracing the same tight circle<br \/>\non the same green threadbare carpet.<\/p>\n<p>It makes no difference whether I lie<br \/>\nstaring at the ceiling<br \/>\nor pace the living-room floor,<br \/>\nhe keeps on making his furious rounds,<br \/>\nlittle pedaler in his frenzy,<br \/>\nmy own worst enemy, my oldest friend.<\/p>\n<p>What is there to do but close my eyes<br \/>\nand watch him circling the night,<br \/>\nschoolboy in an ill-fitting jacket,<br \/>\nleaning forward, his cap on backwards,<br \/>\nwringing the handlebars,<br \/>\nmaintaining a certain speed?<\/p>\n<p>Does anything exist at this hour<br \/>\nin this nest of dark rooms<br \/>\nbut the spectacle of him<br \/>\nand the hope that before dawn<br \/>\nI can lift out some curious detail<br \/>\nthat will carry me off to sleep\u2014<br \/>\nthe watch that encircles his pale wrist,<br \/>\nthe expandable band,<br \/>\nthe tiny hands that keep pointing this way and that.<\/p>\n<p>So..
