Spent a quiet day practicing “Goofing off “. Which is something I’m actually Not very good at. Oh , I’m very good at wasting time\u2026 I just worry about work while I’m doing it. Diana went for a lovely snowshoe up in the mountains around Bolton. There was about a foot of snow up there. It was pretty nice !<\/p>\n

Around two I headed to Burlington to Caf\u00e9 Maglianaro\u2026 A local hipster hangout with free Wi-Fi and very good, strong coffee. I Went there to meet up with friends John Colin Katie and Eric about a an art project we’re doing for the “user required” show at the firehouse Gallery. A crash course in C-# a Microsoft language for doing rapid development . Our goal get beyond the “hello world “stage by the end of the session. We all passed!<\/p>\n

It turns out that we were not the only ones there coding. On this particular rainy Sunday afternoon the place was packed with little clusters of people with a variety of software languages going on their collective mobile devices. Excellent job, python, JavaScript and about every other sort of language going. Which makes dwell with the strong coffee and folk music. It was pretty hip.<\/p>\n
