{"id":697,"date":"2009-03-24T02:51:00","date_gmt":"2009-03-24T06:51:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/2009\/03\/24\/fedexed\/"},"modified":"2009-03-24T02:51:00","modified_gmt":"2009-03-24T06:51:00","slug":"fedexed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/2009\/03\/24\/fedexed\/","title":{"rendered":"Fedexed"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"pBlogBody_478693525\" class=\"blogContent\">\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t    Hi John&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s see&#8230;.yesterday was catch up day at home.\u00a0 Not much new&#8230;Gabe went to Bolton&#8230;I did water softener&#8230;walked dogs&#8230;caught up on house stuff.\u00a0 There was snow on the ground.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>Today was busier and colder.\u00a0 I woke to 12 degrees and it only got to about 20 today.\u00a0 I made 2 trips today to Williston to fax and FedEx things.\u00a0 I believe FedEx has become a verb just like Google.\u00a0 What is it with people who live in cities that need things within 24 hours.\u00a0 If I put these same items in an envelope they would arrive in 2 days for just a stamp.\u00a0 And it is amazing to me that some people don&#8217;t understand that we do not have a fax machine in our house.\u00a0 I can send them through email but that doesn&#8217;t suit them.\u00a0 In such a hurry&#8230;for what?<\/p>\n<p>I have been helping Max secure a new apartment with his roomies.\u00a0 Hopefully&#8230;if all those FedExs and Faxs arrived in 24 hours&#8230;maybe Max will be in a new place in a month.\u00a0 I guess it has bigger rooms&#8230;closer to campus&#8230;and 2 bathrooms!\u00a0 Maybe they will keep one bathroom clean for guests.\u00a0 The comic strip &#8220;Zits&#8221; had the Dad fixing the toilet.\u00a0 The only other toilet available was Jeremy&#8217;s, the teenage son.\u00a0 The Mom chose to drive down to the local gas station and use their toilet over her kid&#8217;s bathroom toilet.\u00a0 For some strange reason I understood.\u00a0 Anyways, I am keeping my fingers crossed.\u00a0 The guy I talked with on the phone about the apartment talked so fast I could not even get his name correct (3 times) until I saw it in an email.\u00a0 I am certainly not a NYC girl.\u00a0 There truly is no reason to be in that big of a rush that you cannot even communicate your name clearly.\u00a0 Oh well.\u00a0 Maybe I am just moving slower.<\/p>\n<p>I did get the dogs out at 17 degrees.\u00a0 On one of my outings I visited Hannah &#038; Dave at Talent.\u00a0 Senyah is 15 months and walking so well.\u00a0 She looks down at her feet and walks carefully not to fall.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t remember our boys looking down nor caring about falling.\u00a0 She negotiates so well.\u00a0 Girls are a different species.<\/p>\n<p>There has been debate in the Senate about same sex marriage.\u00a0 It is fun reading all the points of view and what riles certain people.\u00a0 I think I missed my calling as a sociologist.\u00a0 Too bad I thought sociology was the worst &#8220;science&#8221; course I took in college.\u00a0 I saw it as such soft science yet I am most intrigue with the study of people.\u00a0 Hmm.\u00a0 Anyways, somewhere along the way we forgot that people come in many different flavors and they too can love and chose to live together legally and spiritually.\u00a0 Again I feel our world gets hung up on words.\u00a0 So what if same sex folks want to be married.\u00a0 Why not?\u00a0 Love only adds to this planet.\u00a0 Fear hampers it.\u00a0 In the end, love is all that matters.\u00a0 For now, I will enjoy the debate.<\/p>\n<p>I guess the bridge people are making good noises and work is underway.\u00a0 Due to mud season the dirt roads are closed to through traffic.\u00a0 I guess some cars have been ticketed for traveling through those roads, like Kenyon road.\u00a0 The complaint is it takes an extra 15 minutes to come by our house.\u00a0 I remember our bridge being out for a year.\u00a0 It was nice to have less traffic and yes Bolton was an extra 15 minutes from us.\u00a0 The bridge closure will be over in a blink.<\/p>\n<p>AIG is still in the news.\u00a0 I heard that they will be changing their name.\u00a0 Hmm.\u00a0 I also heard some nasty comments about bodily harm to those who have wronged the tax payers.\u00a0 I cannot even write the details I heard because it saddens me so.\u00a0 To think one would want to kill or harm someone over money.\u00a0 Yikes.\u00a0 Sometimes this world is hard for me to be part of.\u00a0 It&#8217;s only money.\u00a0 We are so much more than our money.\u00a0 Sure, consequences need to happen to those who have acted criminally or immorally&#8230;but not death&#8230;and not physical harm.\u00a0 When all is said and done at the end&#8230;the end of your life&#8230;it won&#8217;t be about money but more about how you behaved with your money.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>Oh I sound so preachy and selfrighteous tonight.\u00a0 Like I know the way when the way is our own path.\u00a0 Again&#8230;who am I to say.\u00a0 I guess I miss you as my sounding board.\u00a0 We could crab and laugh at what we hear and what we read.\u00a0 Then we would just shake our heads and wonder silently.\u00a0 Wonder about the meaning of it all.\u00a0 Again&#8230;that mystery.\u00a0 Living in the mystery&#8230;might as well because once you think you got it figured out&#8230;there is another bump in the road that makes rethink it.<\/p>\n<p>Enough said.\u00a0 I miss you John.\u00a0 I look forward to more walks with you and talks as we live in the mystery together.\u00a0 Good night friend.\u00a0 love&#8230;d \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>\n<\/div><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hi John&#8230;
