Pesach\u00a0 celebrates the Jews. exodus from Egypt nearly 3000 years ago. It&#8217;s a curious holiday. the story is filled with cruelty and bad faith on all sides.. yet.. it&#8217;s a hopeful day.. from bondage to freedom. We&#8217;re taught to have empathy for those who do us wrong.. we spill blood (wine) ceremonially for the pain that the 10 plagues brought on the eqyptians.. That&#8217;s a liberal for you.. always seeing the other guys point of view. <\/p>\n<p>I hadn&#8217;t planned to celebrate Pesach this year.. but Gabe and Kristin said they were interested..\u00a0\u00a0 so we did a quick impromptu sedar tonight&#8230; <br \/>Kristin and Gabe made matzo balls<br \/><center><br \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i147.photobucket.com\/albums\/r319\/johncohn\/mar2910\/mar2910030.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i147.photobucket.com\/albums\/r319\/johncohn\/mar2910\/mar2910032.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div align=\"left\">Gabe and I dressed in the traditional outfits..\u00a0\u00a0 ( we figured we could get away with this since Kristin had never seen a sedar) <\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i147.photobucket.com\/albums\/r319\/johncohn\/mar2910\/mar2910035.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div align=\"left\">I made a plate of my famous matchos&#8230; (matzo nachos) <\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i147.photobucket.com\/albums\/r319\/johncohn\/mar2910\/mar2910036.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div align=\"left\">Then the three of us sat down to a real quick sedar.. we had a soy dog as a lamb bone, and lettuce for spring greens.. but we made charoset, moror, mazo, salt water and gefilte fish.. the whole deal .<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i147.photobucket.com\/albums\/r319\/johncohn\/mar2910\/mar2910037.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div align=\"left\">Our main breach with trading was our spaghetti and matzo balls. <\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i147.photobucket.com\/albums\/r319\/johncohn\/mar2910\/mar2910041.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div align=\"left\">I did a qucik runthrough of the service.. hit the main prayers, let in Elijah then dug in to dinner. It was good fun.. <\/p>\n<p>As soon as we finished our last bight, the three of us piled in the car and we drove to Langdon Street Cafe in Montpelier.<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i147.photobucket.com\/albums\/r319\/johncohn\/mar2910\/mar2910057.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div align=\"left\">i was the main act tonight of their Geek Week<\/p>\n<p>series.. When I got there , there were only about 3 people.. I felt<\/p>\n<p>pretty sad to be playing to an empty house.. but 10 minutes later, the<\/p>\n<p>place was pretty full.. about 30 folks.. all adults were there to see<\/p>\n<p>science. I don&#8217;t usually have an audience thathas beers int her hand.. but tonight .. it really worked.. ! <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i147.photobucket.com\/albums\/r319\/johncohn\/mar2910\/mar2910054.jpg\" \/><br \/>ere&#8217;s Ben the innkeep showing his high voltage best.. <\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i147.photobucket.com\/albums\/r319\/johncohn\/mar2910\/mar2910047.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div align=\"left\">It was a great show.. and a fun event&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>OK.. now I&#8217;m home and very sleepy.. Time for bed.. Oh .. I tlaked to Diane today and got this note form her. She sounds Great !\u00a0 <br \/><font color=\"#339966\"><br \/>Hi Everyone&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>I have returned from morning yoga, 6-8 am.\u00a0 The teachers we have give some fabulous classes.\u00a0 We all are enjoying them.\u00a0 Right now I am just doing some house stuff&#8230;soaking some smelly clothes to was.\u00a0 Sister &#038; I just picked some star fruit from our yard.\u00a0 We have mango, lime, star fruit, and guava tree.\u00a0 Plus many flowers and plants that we grow at home in our houses.<\/p>\n<p>Today will begin another dimension of the training.\u00a0 Last week was honing our skills in listening and giving us practice with others as we untangle some emotional stuff.\u00a0 One gentleman left, Sydney.\u00a0 He has been here for many months after the passing last summer of his wife.\u00a0 He was talked out and needed to return to the real world to integrate again.\u00a0 It is a pleasure being with so many who are all on their own and very different paths.\u00a0 That is the basis for the training&#8230;allowing each of us to find our own yoga within.\u00a0 That was what Sydney did.\u00a0 Last week was about our yoga off the mat which is where the true practice comes.<\/p>\n<p>This week will be harder brain work in creating an experience for ourselves and our students in creating a process to get into a pose&#8230;or relaxation.\u00a0 That is the short answer.<\/p>\n<p>The other night, on the way to the evening session, we turned the corner and found 3 kittens who were dumped there.\u00a0 We all stood there trying to decide what to do.\u00a0 We already had an abandoned cat at home.\u00a0 We just stood there.\u00a0 Then I said what\u00a0 would it be like to walk by and then we all knew what to do.\u00a0 We\u00a0 then all knew what to do.\u00a0 We grabbed the kittens and took them.\u00a0 They were put into a bathroom so they would not disturb anyone.\u00a0 A woman named Danielle took them with her.\u00a0 Her 3 year old was excited to play with little kittens.\u00a0 They are all in the process of finding a place to go.\u00a0 It is sad seeing the dogs and cats just left here.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday Sister and\u00a0 I took an adventure to the recently open Blue Spirit yoga resort opened by Omega.\u00a0 Everyone said that it was gated and we would not be able to enter.\u00a0 Well&#8230;Sister was with me.\u00a0 We did find the trail and went up.\u00a0 The place is beautiful.\u00a0 We approached the front desk and Sister mentioned how we were interested in bringing a party to Blue Spirit.\u00a0 Well that opened us up to touring all around.\u00a0 It is huge&#8230;lovely touches&#8230;a little isolated though.\u00a0 The best adventure came when we left and found that the tide\u00a0 had come in so much it was dicey getting back.\u00a0 We were wet up to our waists.\u00a0 It was much fun!\u00a0 Sister Cecelia had a blast getting her &#8220;habit&#8221; wet.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>We sent out to the Harmony Hotel last night for dinner.\u00a0 I shared fish and a yucca cake.\u00a0 The yucca was like a mashed potato pancake however the yucca was sweeter and such a great\u00a0 consistency.\u00a0 That was the biggest meal I had in a whole week.\u00a0 I was stuffed.\u00a0 We walked home along the beach under the &#8220;just about&#8221; full moon.<\/p>\n<p>I think that is about all\u00a0 the news for now.\u00a0 I am acclimated and enjoying the heat.\u00a0 We\/I seem to sweat all the time.\u00a0 It is okay though.\u00a0 Sleep is much better. \u00a0\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>Much love to all.\u00a0 I miss all of you.\u00a0 love&#8230;diane<\/font><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 <\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div align=\"left\">OK.. that&#8217;s all from me.. She was hurt very badly.. but managed to survive by fighting off the shark..
