Had a really nice dinner with my friend Scott tonight.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

I took over some Vietnamese takeout and some beers and we caught up. I haven’t been able to see him much during the pandemic. Scott’s working his way through pancreatic cancer and I said to be pretty careful about Covid. Right now his family is all out of the house so I decided I’d stop by and we had a really nice socially distant hang out.\u2026 Scott has one of my favorite science buddies. He’s made a lot of the high-voltage equipment that I use in my shows. He also has some great chemistry stuff. Including this bag of zinc sulfide. You should be an amazing thing where you can get the stuff glowing with ultraviolet and then write on it with a red laser \u2026 Which actually makes the stuff stop glowing\u2026 It’s amazing\ufffc\ufffc\ufffc\ufffc<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

We came up with a scheme where we’re going to build some high-voltage multipliers. That’ll be fun for both of us\ufffc<\/p>\n

It was a beautiful night over there. Check out the sunset\ufffc. I believe our sunsets are prettier because of the fires out west. Terrible reason to have them so pretty\ufffc<\/p>\n
