It&#8217;s always been sort of an anthem to me\u2026 It&#8217;s about a guy who&#8217;s always too busy for his own good and stressing out\ufffc about it .. the lyrics go:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>One, two, one, two<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>Know a man his face seemed pulled and tense<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>Like he&#8217;s riding on a motorbike in the strongest winds<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>So I approach with tact<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>Suggest that he should relax<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>But he&#8217;s always movin&#8217; much too fast<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>Said he&#8217;ll see me on the flip side<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>On this trip he&#8217;s taken for a ride<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>He&#8217;s been takin&#8217; too much on<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>There he goes with his perfectly unkept clothes<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>There he goes<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>He&#8217;s yet to come back<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>But I&#8217;ve seen his picture<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>It doesn&#8217;t look the same up on the racks<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>We go way back<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>I wonder &#8217;bout his insides<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>It&#8217;s like his thoughts are too big for his size<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>He&#8217;s been taken where, I don&#8217;t know?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>Off he goes with his perfectly unkept hope<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>There he goes<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>And now I rub my eyes for he has returned<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>Seems my preconceptions are what should have been burned<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>For he still smiles and he&#8217;s still strong<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>Nothing&#8217;s changed, but the surrounding bullshit, that has grown<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>And now he&#8217;s home, and we&#8217;re laughing, like we always did<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>My same old, same old friend<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>Until a quarter-to-ten<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>I saw the strain creep in<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>He seems distracted and I know just what is gonna happen next<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>Before his first step, he is off again<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>You can hear it here\ufffc<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Off He Goes\" width=\"474\" height=\"356\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/F5s1d1G4Rko?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Strange thing was as I was listening to it and trying to pick it out on a guitar I realized I don&#8217;t identify with that song anymore I&#8217;m still trying to figure out what that means. Does it mean I&#8217;m not as stressed and overcommitted as I was? Is that Covid? Is it giving up?
