So\u2026 Today marks my 40th anniversary of starting at IBM. I can vividly \u00a0remember my first day walking into the building on August 3, 1981\u2026 I remember they let me shoot \u00a0a fire extinguisher add a chair as part of our safety training\u2026 That’s probably one of the most important things I learned at Ibm\u2026<\/p>\n

Honestly it’s been a really \u00a0great ride. challenging, entertaining.. Sometimes bewildering\u2026.. never boring.. and \u00a0(almost) \u00a0always fun. I think I’m at 80 countries and counting\u2026for work related travel, \u00a0Thousands of friends\u2026 And four \u00a0decades \u00a0very cool technology.<\/p>\n

I woke up feeling very very grateful for having found this job, in such a wonderful place\u2026 and \u00a0such wonderful people\u2026<\/p>\n

I even met the love of my life Diane courtesy of Ibm.<\/p>\n

thanks to all the folks who wrote to mark my 40th .. \u00a0 I think you can see some of what they said and a whole lot of pictures \u00a0\u00a0here<\/a><\/p>\n

Wow.. 40 years.. ..I swear \u00a0it only feels like 39 !<\/p>\n
