{"id":79536,"date":"2021-09-07T22:48:00","date_gmt":"2021-09-08T02:48:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/?p=79536"},"modified":"2021-09-09T22:48:53","modified_gmt":"2021-09-10T02:48:53","slug":"tuesday-night-delayed-woodys","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/2021\/09\/07\/tuesday-night-delayed-woodys\/","title":{"rendered":"Tuesday night (Delayed) &#8211; woody\u2019s"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tuesday was a very busy workday\u2026 After work I went down to see my friend Woody who are invited to friends Zach and Max who are the founders of hack club <a href=\"https:\/\/hackclub.com\">https:\/\/hackclub.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a worldwide organization that helps build student run hacker communities all over the world. It&#8217;s a really amazing project\u2026 And the more I learn about it the more I like it. It&#8217;s completely bottoms up\u2026 No tops down goals and programming and all of that other stuff that we tend to overload kids with.\u2026 Zach just organized a three week odyssey for 42 of the hat club members where they left Burlington Vermont got on the train in New York City went to Chicago on the train and then attached three rented Sleeper\ufffc cars push the road to San Francisco and then down to SpaceX near LA. The whole time they did a giant hackathon to build up their own Internet on the train. It was a fascinating project and so well run. Woody was the camp counselor\/entertainment\u2026 He had organized ton of great events including jugglers musicians etc.\u2026 It sounded so amazing. I really enjoy talking to Zach and Max about their plans for hat club\u2026 We had a whole lot of technology interest that we shared\u2026 And we share a common Love of mischief and play\u2026 Watch the space we&#8217;re going to do some fun stuff\ufffc\ufffc<\/p>\n<p>I have to also say that Woody was such an amazing host.
