And event full day today. Early today Gabe and sam picked up sam’s roommate Lyndsey At the airport\u2026 Came back and I made a big breakfast\ufffc<\/p>\n

I max to go for a hike with Nate and the rest of us went to do the history hike at Little River. It was great leaves at both hikes<\/p>\n

We love the history hike\u2026 It talks about a lost community of people living in the hills near Little River\u2026 The community disappeared when the valley was flooded for the flood control dam in 1938.<\/p>\n

From there we went to pick apples in Waterbury in Center\u2026 It was such a beautiful setting near Mount hunger\ufffc\ufffc\ufffc\ufffc<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

From there we came back to the house\u2026 We decided do use the opportunity that the four of us were together to spread both the dogs ashes. It’s been a year since Chai died\ufffc at 17. Satori died earlier last year in August at age 13 . We miss them both so much every day\u2026 But it was time to let them go. We took their ashes and walked to the “barlow beach” that they both loved so much\ufffc. OK calculated the chai must’ve made that walk about 4200 times\u2026 Satori maybe 3000\ufffc<\/p>\n

We unscrewed the wooden boxes and held her ashes and we took turns three in handfuls of the remains into a Huntington and Winooski Rivers That they both loved\ufffc<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

It was a tearful goodbye for all of us\u2026 But we know the girls would’ve love that. We kept it a little bit of the ash both of them and spread them in the yard.<\/s><\/p>\n

It’s OK to take them on that one last walk\ufffc\ufffc<\/s><\/p>\n
