I had a interesting adventure today. For the last 20 years I’ve had an extra office at the IBM site here in Vermont to house some of the gear I used to do science outreach in schools.\u2026 Even though I haven’t worked in Burlington since 2012\u2026 And that Ibm has sold that property to global foundries\u2026 I still have that room. Last year it was a tremendous flood in the building where that room was and my room and every other on that floor we’re covered in 4 inches of mud. You may recall that I had to move all of my stuff into a new storage space\ufffc To allow for cleaning my own space. That was an opportunity to get rid of about 2\/3 of the stuff that was in there.\ufffc. here’s A picture of all of that\ufffc http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/2021\/01\/14\/thursday-night-muddy-memories\/<\/a><\/p>\n

Well today I had to move the stuff yet again because IBM was consolidating the few people who are still on site.\u2026 My friend ‘Dave helped me move all of that stuff up two floors to a new storage place.\u2026 Even with the reduced amount\u2026 It was a ton of stuff. Lots of great memories\ufffc.<\/p>\n

My deep thanks to Ibm and global foundries and Dave for allowing me to keep the storage place\u2026 I look forward to getting back to doing in person outreach schools as soon as Covid allows\ufffc<\/p>\n
