{"id":874,"date":"2009-03-25T01:22:00","date_gmt":"2009-03-25T05:22:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/2009\/03\/25\/a-clean-house\/"},"modified":"2009-03-25T01:22:00","modified_gmt":"2009-03-25T05:22:00","slug":"a-clean-house","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/2009\/03\/25\/a-clean-house\/","title":{"rendered":"A Clean House"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"pBlogBody_478899220\" class=\"blogContent\">\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t    Hi John&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Today was cleaning day.\u00a0 The place looks great.\u00a0 I have taken off our flannel sheets from the bed.\u00a0 I guess that means winter is done.\u00a0 Although it did not feel that way today.\u00a0 The March winds can be cold.\u00a0 I had to bundle up when I took the dogs for a walk with Jen.\u00a0 The field was cold however the dogs has a blast.\u00a0 Today was pass the flattened dried frog back and forth.\u00a0 Satori found it first.\u00a0 As I took it from her Julie swooped it up and took off with it.\u00a0 As she tried to roll on it I was able to bury it in some leaves.\u00a0 Those dogs.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>Last night I heard from Barry.\u00a0 He returned a few days ago.\u00a0 The rest of the Townsend&#8217;s are in Buenoes Aires, Argentina.\u00a0 We may not be able to get Deb out of there.\u00a0 This sounds like a place she will truly love.\u00a0 There is night life, museums, Tango, Salsa music, good food and great people.\u00a0 They are having a ball.\u00a0 Right now they have a place rented until 4\/7 and then they will move to another spot.\u00a0 I think they may be using this as their launching spot.\u00a0 Brit however is returning back on 3\/31.\u00a0 Barry will get her and they will spend the night here.\u00a0 Barry needs to work and then they will head to New Hampshire to gather some of Brits things.\u00a0 She hopes to head back here to Vermont to work for about 3 months.\u00a0 Then it will be New Zealand.\u00a0 Exciting times for them.\u00a0 It will be good to talk with Brit and get the scoop.<\/p>\n<p>It was also good to talk with Jleigh though email today.\u00a0 Her life is quieter without your calendar hopping.\u00a0 She too misses you.\u00a0 She will be talking one of her rescue pugs to their new home this week.\u00a0 That is so cool she does that.\u00a0 I forgot to ask if that was the blind one.\u00a0 I&#8217;ll see her next week.\u00a0 Seems she has to make a birthday delivery for you.\u00a0 Did you get me a pug?\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>Gabe asked an interesting question about our auto insurance.\u00a0 You know that we have a $500 deductable however since you hit an animal it was only a $100 deductable.\u00a0 Gabe was wondering what would happen if you swirved to avoid an animal and hit a tree.\u00a0 Well, I had to talk with Brenda through email and she said it would be $500.\u00a0 Poor animal.\u00a0 I told Gabe I would still swirve, if I could, and pay the extra.<\/p>\n<p>We went t the chiropractor and stopped in to pick up Gabe&#8217;s board from Talent.\u00a0 Gabe said Dave is an expert waxer.\u00a0 His board looks so good.\u00a0 Dave also filled some gaps to keep this board good through the summer.\u00a0 This summer Dave will order a replacement board for Gabe&#8217;s Swindle board.\u00a0 Gabe also got a new winter coat at 50% off.\u00a0 Yeah.\u00a0 Next pants. \u00a0\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>Gabe had an interesting science class these last few days.\u00a0 They split up into groups and then they constructed an experiment to be done on themselves to test an increase in heart rate.\u00a0 My first guess was taken&#8230;watching scary movies.\u00a0 Some watched sad movies and some stood out side in the cold.\u00a0 Guess what Gabe&#8217;s group did?\u00a0 Yes they drank Red Bull and checked their heart rates.\u00a0 They also understood that their heart rate may have increased just with the excitement of drinking Red Bull at school.\u00a0 He told me that the heart rate did go up a little.\u00a0 I like this type of test because so much of our pop media is based on tests just like this.\u00a0 Hopefully they will understand the difficulty creating and executing a simple test on humans.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>He told me that someone at school told him he needed to drink 2 glasses of water for every Red Bull he drank.\u00a0 I told him that may have been due to the caffiene.\u00a0 I told him in the same respect people who drink coffee ought to do the same.\u00a0 I enjoy hearing him come home with the same things we heard in school like coffee will stunt your growth and chocolate gives you zits.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>I found a large print copy of &#8220;Tuesdays with Morrie&#8221; on our bookshelf.\u00a0 I&#8217;m not sure where it came from however the large print was perfect for using on the elliptical due to the wobbly nature of our machine.
