I had an early morning meeting about Generator, the Makerspace that we are bringing to Burlington on Feb 1. Im very excited that the 802 will now have a space that anyone can access. Were in our final preparations before our jan 2 date when we get the keys to our new space in the basement of Memorial Auditorium. After our meeting. .. And before my work day began, chris t and i walked over to take a look at the space.. Though we'd been talking about it for months, id never seen it first hand .. Or so i thought.. We walked up the icy sidewalk to the back of Memorial and walked into the space.. Thats when i realized that we were moving into a space i knew well.. It was where we held the dinner after Sam's memorial service.. That night is a blur to me.. I do remember having a huge pot luck dinner there after the memorial<\/a> …and being surrounded by family and friends. <\/p>\n

Ive been in that space severl times since.: A craft fare, a potluck after a 242 show,, but id never associate this space with Generator,,,<\/p>\n

Creating soemthing really good there like this Generator makerspace really makes me feel good,,,<\/p>\n
