{"id":97865,"date":"2023-08-21T13:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-08-21T17:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/?p=97865"},"modified":"2023-09-03T13:07:07","modified_gmt":"2023-09-03T17:07:07","slug":"monday-night-disconnected","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/johncohn.org\/base\/2023\/08\/21\/monday-night-disconnected\/","title":{"rendered":"Monday night &#8211; Disconnected"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>As I was cleaning up yesterday I rearranged the computer room.. that meant unplugging and tidying a zillion cables and plugs..\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Somehow in there I managed to do something that took down our internet..\u00a0 \u00a0I spent several hours trying to debug it myself and with the help of our service providers support folks.. no dice<\/p>\n<p>It was soooo strange being wihtout internet.. no google, no alexa.. .. No voice\u00a0 vontrol of the 40 or so devices we control including lights, doors, even a toy train.\u00a0 No email , no slack !<\/p>\n<p>I felt like I was heading back to the 1980&#8217;s !<\/p>\n<p>Kinda nice\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>anyway The really nice WCVT guy we know\u00a0 came today and In 5 minutes found the root of the problem.
