As we left Max’s place at 6AM I commented that my suitcase seemed a little light..I looked inside and most of my clothes were missing.. as we retraced our steps back to the car, I found all my clothes.. and my kindle piled neatly salong the sidewalks where they’d fallen the night before.. I got them all back..
And that was about it for my day..
Now some sleep…
nite all.. nite Sam

I had a different kind of day than I had planned.. but it worked out better than the day that I had ordered. I left my folks house around 4:15 this morning en route to NY.. I managed to find folks in Europe to talk to most of the way down.. so the time passed prodictivly.. I had intended to attend a meeting with a bunch of friends in Somers.. but.. when I got here, I found out that I’d been slammed with about 5 new meetings with folks who happened to be in the same site.. so instead of hanging out with the friends I’d intended to be with.. I ended up hanging out with a different group of friends.. At firest I was cranky that my perfectly planned day had been disrupted.. It took me about half of the day to realize that the day I got was at least as good as the day I had wanted.. once I opened up to it , I found that this new day was at least as fun. productive and personally satisfying.. as that never to be had day I’d set up…
It was all in the letting go…
Right now, I’m letting go of consciousness.. more tomorrow !
nite folks, nite sam

Busy day today .. spent juggling several jobs at once. I was down here in Boston for two reasons. I was here to attend the final project review of a group of Olin college students who did some really excellent funded research work for us.. and to help a friend make a movie about smart asset tracking.. in this case, the asset was garbage.. This group at MIT is instrumenting everyday trasha with cell phone connected gps recivers and using that to watch the ‘removal chain’ of junk from our lives. the results are really fascinating.
here’s a map of the path a paper cup tool after it was tossed in a garbage bin in Seattle..
What would happen if wereally knew where are garbage went.. would we consume differntly ? I tend to think we would…
Anyway..I’m in my folks house, I need to wake and drive at 4AM.. so I better go to sleep soon.
More tomorrow..
Nite all. Nie Sam
