First of all.. sorry .. last nights post was made from my phone and did not seem to make it up to the server.. I think it’ su there now

I flew home last night.. a long red eye from San Diego to Chicago with a very unhappy baby right by my left ear. I got into Ohare at 4 AM.. which actually worked out fine.. I had a good hour and a half call with some work friends in China.. By the time I got back to Vt it was about noon.. I was beat.. but so happy to be home..

Being here I have trouble even relating to the weird sense of displacement I had in California.. I felt instantly grounded when I got off the plane It’s high summer here.. hot and breezy.. the air smells like flowers..  Diane and Gabe are buzzing around the hose.. Ian. Hannah and Deb are here too…

i’m happy again.
