Just finishing prep for a biz trip. Leaving early I tomorrow, then going to the gathering of the vibes music festival with the team I mentored from the UVM senior design course. We recruited them to the project with the idea that they would take their device to a music festival.. And by golly were going to do it.
I had a really busy day at work.. And still tons to do… But I need to get some sleep.. I took a few hours tonight to go to an organizing meeting of the Vermont Makers.. Great folks doing something really good for the geeks and geeketts of our region.
Just as the meeting was over, I asked our hostess, Rebecca's to try out my new light up hoop. I asked her to turn out the lights and the second I said that, there was a huge flash of lightening and a crack of thunder and the whole street went black.. Very dramatic.. the and spent an hour rebuilding a power supply for the led peace sign for the front of Gary's bus..it still hot and muggy and rainy.. I just came in drenched with remain and sweat..
Now to sleep.. I hope.. Perchance to dream..

For others reading this, I have to emphasize how dramatic John’s request to turn off the lights was. I did not know he could call down lightning. Either he’s got (really) great connections or he had one heck of a big Tesla coil hidden nearby. The former seems the more likely explanation.
