About 8:30 this morning my email inbox started to fill up.. Turns out that the popular blog Engadget was running a story about AMD.

Evidently the company is opting to pay a large penalty for unused manufacturing capacity rather than build chips at a loss At the top of the page was a picture of me looking at a silicon wafer. Someone had added a word bubble which said “i cant just buy a slice ?”100s of thousands of folks read that blog. So many friends saw the picture and sent me a shout… Several noticed the title of the picture when they went to download it… “Old_man_silion2.jpg”

Thats me.. Old man silicon…
I kinda like that !
