Friday night – I-i-i-ieeeeeee

Long day.. Second tpday ina. Row that began at 4am for an all day meting in france time.. The another whole day of work here.. Im beat…

I did manage to grab 30 min for a lunch with my colleagues at the IEEE exec board,. Ieee is the internaional professional group for electrical engineers. There were about 12 folks there . paul and pascal had arrainged for a nice lunch as we marched through the years business .

Most of us were from ibm. Ive known most of these folks for more than 20 years.. Ive watched them get hired, get married, have kids grow oler and alternately love and hate their work. There is something truly reassuring about being around these folks….. But its a little scary too.. There was only one person in the room under 30… What oes that say about us ? What should we do about it.. Interested to get folks thoughts on that

Thursday night – Eva’s vid

Long day.. just kicking off work at 6:30 PM.. and started my day at 4AM. and will tomorrow as well. I’m in a two day client meeting with folks in France and figured this would be easier.. right about now, i’m not so sure :-). Good meetings though..

As a result, i didn’t get out an do much today.. but something good came my way anyway.. My freind Eva S. from 7Days send me this awesome vid she made about Chris’s burn last Saturday. It’s for 7Days and WCAX

I’d like to give a big shoutout to Eva and our other friends in local media (megan, cathy .talking to you) who are helping us wave the maker flag.. Thanks so much !

The Vermont Generator Makerspace is looking for some tool donations. Here’s a partial working list of the stuff we’re still looking for. If your garage, basement or workshop is full of tool that need a home please take a look at this list and let us know

If you have bigger , more exotic tools you’d like to get rid off (CNC routers, , sandblasters, etc) please let me know. we may be able to work out a membership in exchange for donation or lease of those things.

It’s really exciting to see this all come together.

Tuesday night – Skating away

The ice has transformed  everything around us again. Our yard is covered with a hard white glaze and the field behind us which is normally covered in stubble is as smooth as glass. The lovely Davis girls were over today playing with Diane. They took advantage of the conditions to go out and skate on the old cow pasture.

i took a few moments away from my work just to watch them…

i really love were we live
