Sitting on the runnway in DC waiiting in a tire change for our plane, never thought about planes getting flat tires. Its not all that bad.. Sitting next to a bunch of folks goign to the same conference. Ran into a guy ive known for some time apbut never met in person,, i think thats going to happen often this week.
One of the things I love about living in Vermont (and there are many) is the ‘small denominator’ effect. our state is so small.. and so full of interesting people that the math usually makes us either best r worst at almost everything. You’ll rarely see tiny Vermont hugging the middle of the pack on things like school test scores, gun ownership, or vegetarians per capita.. we’re always a standout…
Today was no exception.. At dinner Gabe told us that Vermont has by far the highest number of total Olympic medals per capita than any other state in the union. Not too shabby.. .. it’s not even that bad if you take out the ‘per capita’ part.. I think we’re 7th…
I spent all day with dad in the rhab hospital today, it was very quiet, peaceful and calm there. I dont know where the time went.. The high pint of the day was watching 'the maltese falcon' together, id never seen it,, watching it in end to end in the middle of the afternoon .
Made me wish everything was black and white like that….. It's not
Oy… Long , long , long hectic day.. I ended up cutting my work trip to nyc short because i need to be with my dad and mom. Dads still in the hospital…
I cut out of my meeting at 4:30 anid tried to catch a cab to penn station. Graffic was bad and most cabs were full. I got a pretty good deal on a bike cab froma. Really funny guy.. We got their faster than by car..and the sightseeing and conversation were awesome..
So i took a rain to south station in boston.. Then got on a train to west nattick.. Which then broke down inback bay.. They towed it back to south station.. Where thye loaded us on to another train.. They then announced that train would be an express to framinngham.. And kicked us off until the last train which was to have left in 20 minutes… I got off.. Butt hen realized i could take a cab from framingham as well as i could from west nattic.. So i jumboed back on…..
And here i am
Now I'm waiting in the rain at the Framingham think station for about 45 minutes for a taxi it's coming. No the strange thing is I don't feel too bad.
I'm almost there
Life is strange.. Sometimes good strange..and soemtimes must strange..
