spent the day in Almden today.. Its a beautiful place that I always associate with Wallace Stegners “angle of Repose” one of my favorite books of all time.
Had several great meetings including two that involved long walks aroufd the beautiful building !

In the guestroom at my friend Rafe and families. Got here around 9 PM which gave me only about a half an hour to see his beautiful kids and beautiful wife and beautiful in-laws… All beautiful. It's been a nice short visit. Period I'm sure they're wondering why am talking to myself… That's one funny thingabout using voice dictation for this blog… I must sound like a lunatic.
I got to spend a few hours catching up with Rafe. It's been far too long since we've been able to do that. He's one of my oldest and dearest friends. I love listening to him talk about his work in math. I feel myself getting smarter when I'm sitting next to him.
Okay… Got to get up really early tomorrow so I'll interior. More tomorrow.

Good day today both technically and personally. I ran into SO many friends.. as I walked around today.. it filled my heart !
the big treat tonight was a concert by Aerosmith.. yes THE aerosmith.. What does that say that our company can rent a band like that. I was never much into their music as a kid.. intact last time I saw them was 37 years ago !!!!. but tonight they were awesome. The sounded great.. and they looked great.. Steve Tyler is 66 years old.. and looks like he always has..

Greetings from Las Vegas… Again. Somehow I find myself in the city more often then I feel I should be here. I was talking to someone ( my good buddy John S) recently described it as one over Vermont… That is it is the exact opposite of peaceful, green, quiet,, sane.
That said, it is not without its charms… I do love all the neon… And I do love people watching. Especially at this conference where I know so many people and help so many of them as good friends. Still I’m sitting here tonight wishing that I were somewhere far away and 70° colder with my love beside me to keep me warm. Tomorrow’s another day… Maybe it will grow on me. Will see
