Greetings from the edge of consciousness… I've got about four hours asleep for the last two or maybe three days I think it's a Tuesday but I can't be quite sure. It's about 1130 but I can't stay conscious anymore.
It's been some long hours trying to get our demo working… It's always like that. It's funny how hard it can be to get little details right. What's funny though is seen so many people from all other sort of companies going through exactly the same thing of last-minute trying to get things to work. I guess that's what drives our industry
.
even though it was hard, it was fun working with the team and our company and our part. I tried to pay back a little bit of the help they gave me by helping them as they reprogrammed about 100 microprocessors for a class tomorrow
After scarfing down some pizza I went back and met Collin who's out here now working at Google. It was so great catching up with him. He really loves his job. What's not to like about free sushi every day?

Wow… What a long day. Travis and I worked together from about nine this morning until about 230 am.for trying to put the finishing touches on our demo and. Like always… There are many speed bumps. It was so much fun working with Travis though…he is such a great guy… Smart fine, hard-working… And just super nice. In the lead up to this I've found myself being abrupt with people and even cursing when things were going well. I made a big effort today to back away from the frustrations that the system was providing us can actually ease out. It made all the difference. We actually had fun even as the fates tried (and are still trying) to get in our way of a successful demo
When I get uptight about these kind of things Diane always reminds me to breeze…
Got into SFO about an hour and a half ago… Just got to the hotel. I was starving. They had a little store at check-in. The one substantive food item they had were little self cook macaroni and cheese cups. They had quite a few of them. I bought one looking forward to the fluorescent google that I was used to. I got to my room only to find that they had no microwaves. Not in the rooms, not on the floor, no where in fact. I called and the guy offered to see if there was someone in the kitchen you could cook it for me. He didn't seem to think it was strange that they were selling them. It's after midnight West Coast time and I only got four hours asleep last night so I decided not to worry about it. I'm trying to see if I can cook it with warm tapwater. Hey it might be crunchy but at least it's food.
