Last night I had the privilege to sit next to Bernie Sanders and his wife on the flight back to Burlington. I’ve run in to him before on these flights. but this time was different. He is candidate Sanders. I gotta say I am so proud of this guy for running, for saying what he means.. and for his hard work and his deep intelligence. He would be an excellent president. Some in the media want to brand him as some sort of radical , but for the last 30 years i’ve seen what he’s done for our city, state and nation. he’s a rational humanist with consistent and well reasoned views.. he’s deeply ethical and committed to fairness.and is so intelligent !. I know it will be a tough race.. but he’s always been an underdog. i hope people keep hearing his message. He would do so many good things for our country and the world.
today was nice and slow.. a nice slow doggie run, work around the house. Including some tall window clang from 20 feet in the air
I cleaned my lab which really needed it.
Tonight our old friend Sheri came by . She’s in town dropping her daughter Lauren off.. Lauren Brought two friends and Shari brought one. We had games find Luke as well.. about 9 folks in all for summer dinner of pesto focaccia, garden tomoates and chocolate cake. yum!
. I've been on the road all week and really could use a recharge. I'm sitting here on the first floor of LaGuardia airport with my laptop plugged into a an outlet which has no juice in it.
Funny thing is … none of them do.
For some reason everyone is just like me and is plugged in may be the hope that sometime tonight theywill magically turn on..
Just went for run down here in the steamy early evening Carolina air.. it was like growing up in houston.. air so think you have to swim through it.. Great sound of cicadas everywhere. Reminded me of high school when we had to study Haiku.. i thin k it Ms. Kelly’s 12th grade English class.. I remember reading a Haiku by the Master Basho.. I looked it iup.. and seems it has a bunch of different translations

Just back from a really nice night visiting my friends pam, scott and maya.. They have a new addition in their home. a pair of ferrets.. they are such cool animals. they are kind of like furry eels.. but more fun .. (i guess. never played with a furry eel) .
They like to play .. smell pretty good.. and remind me of that great scene in The Bog Lebowski when Flea drops a ferret in the Dudes bathtub !
It was really great hanging out with pam and scott and maya.. we did some science mischief, ate, talked work and life.. even got some good book tips from maya
the hi light of the trip was getting to check out Pam’s breaking bad action figure.. Complete with blue meth !!!!
ok.. gotta do some work..a nd its already midnight !
