OK.. I finally had to do ut.. today I tried Pokemon Go.. and lo and behold.. there’s a Charzard parked outside of our house !!!
I love learnign more about this game.. and how quickly it’s spread.. it’s an amazingly simple and powerful concept.
it give me faith that wonderful ideas are all around us.. just like pokemon
The only other notewrothy thing I noticed today was the first sign in a grocery store that explained that the store would not sell a product because the manufacturer refused to comply with Vermonts geneticly modified organism (GMO) law.
I know that some say that vermont is being difficult here by requiring more stringint labeling than other states.. but I’m broud of us.. i think the public has a right to know.. and I think the only way that will become the case is if states like Vermont insist..
We were half way home when we heard abotu the attack at a shopping center in Munich. It was a wierd mood as the news spread through the plane. many folks wwatched the story unfold on CNN \
I know \ where that mall is.. i was actually across the street from it on Wednesday.. it felt both close and far away. The world is a big place..
such a random and sensless act.. i feel so sad for the victims and their families.. and for the city..
sending wishes for peace and sanity out into the world
No.. i’m not in Africa.. but I contributed to something cool there today. Today IBM and our subsidiary The Weather Company announced that we are working with TAHMO.org to install more than 330 high accuracy weather stations in sub-saharan Africa. The weather stations will flow through our Weather Underground crowd sourced weather platform into TWC’s worldwide weather tracking and prediction platform. Our Watson IoT platform can then put that data to use to help farmers, crop insurers , emergence planners and entrepreneurs in the region. I’m really excited to be part of this partnership and cant wait to help put these stations on line. Thanks to all the folks that made this possible !
