Today in started to feel like i was starting to recharge a little from this crazy year . I actually woke up more refreshed .. and felt pretty good all day . The solstice has passed , light will be returning along with our seratonin levels ..
Interesting life is that I got my iPhone back today after a factory recall to replace the battery. It to was not holding a charge very well. Now It’s been out almost 100% for the last hour… A great life lesson
I did something therapeutic this evening.. I dropped my phone off for repair.. apple recently confirmed what many of us suspected that the batteries in the iphone 6s were faulty.. my phone frequently turns off even when showing 40% power.. especially in cold weather.. I dropped my phone off this evening at BestBuy for a batterectomy.. which may take 24 hours. This leaves me slightly less connected to the outside world.. I’m having trouble detaching from work this break..and not having a phone to check constantly is probably a good thing…
Again .. i’m asking anyone who catches me online by phone or computer doing anything remotely work related to call me on it … Like my good friend Scott did today (i took the call anyway Scott.. but it was 83% fun) ..
Now.. what does one do without a phone for 24 hours.. new terratory for me to explore !
I just realized that last nigh I posted the video but not the link to my friends Earnestine and Leos Kickstarter. Earnestine and Leo are teachers in Greenville Misssississississippi . My friends Chuck and Mary met them was mary painted her way across the us. Earnestine and Leo are trying to raise enough money to allow their students to participate in the 2017 FIRST robotics challenge. THey participated last year and loved it..
They have tried raising money fro other sources.. but funding is tight in North West Miss.. So we’re trying a Kickstarter. They have 10 days left to raise a little more than $2000.. donations are tax deductible since they are a 501.(c)3 ..
Please take a look and send them some love if you can ! See their campaign here
Just back from our annual Dads ‘shopping night’ .. It’s a 25 year tradition that started as part of our dads group.. The group was created for us by one of the wives of our memebers who thought it would be good for all of us dads to have soemthign to do…
For many years we’d all meet in burlignton and shop for our wives.. then eventually end up at the daily planet for dinner and beers.. then we started meeting for dinner first.. and the more hardy of us would ventture out for shopping.. the shopping part got later and later.. and fewer of us whnt.. untill we gave u the subtrifuge of shopping altogether… .. Now we meet at the public house in Hinesburgh.
we had a full house tonight… .. it was great catching up with everyone.. we talked families travel, jobs and (of course) politics… i love these guys
I love this tradition….
quick change of topic…
