we had a nice meal then Jaakko waled us aroudn the beutiful city a bit.. He had soem great info about the russian period here..

Greetings from a train in Finland. just heading up to Kouvalo to visit some  work freinds . .

. It’s about 7:15 PM and its as bright as noon here.. kinda cool ..   I’ve never been to Finaland in the summer.. all the other times I’ve been here soemhow have been in the wonter.. . its really beutiful countryside. It’s kinda like  vermont without the mountains.. lots of forests.. lots of rocks..   Beautiful weather in the 60’s .. my kind of place.. !

I’ll get to Kouvalo in an hour or so.. will take soem pictures from there.

Really nice day on the town ith the Regevs..It’s very nice hanging  out with them.. they are fun and easy to to be with ..

shmul found this old motel where he and karen stayed last tiem they were here as newlyweds more than 20 years ago.. ..

the place is closed now.. and had a pretty strange reputation even back then

Shmul has a jam band show on Israeli radio.. so he was happy to make the pilgrimage to Nectors !

we walked down to the waterfront.. got a snack then watched soem of the dragon bot competition. It’s a fund raiser for breast cancer survivors and their supporters. it was very cool to watch !

Really nice day at home.. . my friend Shul and his family are here visiting from Isreael and it was so great hanging out with them. We climbed Mt. Philo, hung out at the house for a bit.. then went to Ben and Jerry’s in Waterbury.. They are very easy to be with.
