I’m writing you all the way from Munich Germany with a special request. My company is sponsoring FIRST robotics this year. FIRST is the worlds biggest and best inernational techncial challenge for young women and men.. This years Championship is this Friday in St Louis . I can’t be there. but a team from IBM will be. We have an oppertunity to have our movie played at the opening if we get just 60 more votes by tomorrow . Gruss aus Munchen. I’m in Munich which is starting to feel like home away from home. I  really like it here. People are grest, the city is beutiful.. nd this new building is goign to be very. very cool

 

I soet the day working, went for a great run in the English gardens, met my friend Al for Coffeee and then freinds Niklas and DIrk for dinner. .. I’m hoping i’m now tired enough to sleep

 

My hotel room looks right over on our building.. very exciting to see it there throgh the day

 

 

Niklaus,Dirkand I even snuck in tonight to tour the building alone..

 

it’s now got a samstone !

this website and smastones.org have been up and down all this week ..

and so have i.. I’m now up… somewhere over the north atlantic.. on my way to munich again

this is a longer trip.. eager to learn stuff.. always a little down  to be away from home.

Today is both Earth day and Pesach.. -(aka Passover) ..two great reminders of spring awakening..

 

Diane is out of town today.. so I just sat down and worked for about 11 hours.. and didn’t really look up until just before 5..

when i looked up.. i realized i didnt want to let the combined earth/pesach go completely unmarked, so  I called up my good freind Jared.. and asked if he was up to a

impromptu seder.. .. hes always up to anything.. !..

 

i cokked up some matzoh balls in msso soup and chooped up apples for chaorset.. I ran to the store and bught horseradish, macaroons and that nasty manishevitz wine..  jared stopped at a store on the way out and baught a bunch of funky smoked  fish, giffilte fish , latkes and knishes..

jared showed up about 7 , we packed up

and drove down to the long trail bridge.. a mile up river from our house

we even brought pillows.. because you’re supposed to recline at the table on pesach

i used our goofy pesach plate and we added all the stuff.. egg, matzoh, parsley charoset, a bone (plaied here by stinky smoked fish) , 

 

we also broke out the manishevitz and my homemade matzoh ball soup 

 

i had an old zeroxed hagadah that freind russel hd given us in 1991 

 

the first ‘glass’ of wine 

we did a .. uh.. short.. version of the service.. we did get in all the main prayers..a dn sang a really loud and goofy DAYNU’.. .. which means ‘it would have been enough’..

its a song of thanks..adn I felt greatful for my family, my freinds. the beutiful bridge, the nice night and the reeking fish.. lie dooesnt get much better

then.. the  main course..
