Nice interlude tonight when a bunch of Gabe’s friends came in after yoga for dinner. I put away work, helped cook dinner and hung out.. it felt so good.
When everyone left I was left staring at a pile of work.. which I’d put aside to do tonight. I walked towards it.. and something stopped me.. I just couldn’t pick it up. I tried approaching it from the front. I tried sneaking up behind it.. I actually did a few circles around it.. but I could not make my self start.. it was so strange. It was like there was a wall around it.. keeping me from it.. or keeping it from me.
Very nice weekend. very relaxing.. Still, finishing the weekend with a tired mind. I think I spent so much effort towards ‘not thinking’ about all the work I have to do that I wore myself out..
Happy new year to all my Chinese friends. I know today is a very important day in China… I love my friend drop out of communication for at least a week. Hope you’re all having fun.
I had fun today… Completely took the day off and tried not to think about work
We took an awesome hike up in West Bolton with the dogs, went and helped our friend Ellen move
replaced the guts of our upstairs toilet,
(i’ll spare you the pictures of that)
and then Diane made a wonderful Chinese new year Meal
Then we went to stoneground to listen to some great music
It was just the day I needed.
