Today was interesting. got a call from the bank that someone was trying to steal one of our credit cards.. They called me to verify that it was fraud.. then the guy called them back pretending to be me.. they even recorded him. Evidently I have a strange accent and live in Canada.
made me wonder if perhaps I’m the imposter and I am confused ?
Long hard day at work.. which is the rule these days.. then a nice break. Diane and I met Gabe at Suchido for Sushi and Cake. We are celebrating my birthday early since I’ll be in Germany next week (Feb 9) when I have my real birthday

Went out for beer and pizza with my friends Andy and jim. It felt so decadent actually closing my laptop at 6:30 and going out and doing something social on a “work” night.
It was great catching up… Talked about family talked about work
And as invariably happens these days talkedabout politics… A lot
Only managed to spill one beer

Very interesting conversation tonight after yoga dinner. A bunch of our friends came over for dinner. As is the norm these days the conversation turn towards politics… We all are feeling quite a bit of distress about the direction the nations politics are heading… It was interesting to hear how deeply it was affecting us all. One of the conversations was how we as individuals need to focus our energy in order not to be overwhelmed by the events in the news. One theme that came out was the opportunity to funnel energy that we might spend worrying or resisting current events in to doing something good in the world
